ABOUT KENDRA HEISLER

  • ARTIST BIO

    Kendra Heisler is a photographer and filmmaker from Brooklyn, NY. She began exhibiting in 2013, and her work has since been shown across the United States and Internationally.  She is also the Executive Director of DreamStreet NYC, a nonprofit for artists with developmental disabilities. 

    Her most recent short film, Ordinary World, is a love story featuring a disabled cast, and received awards for Best Short and Best Producer from Green Mountain Film Festival and Best LGBTQ+ Film from both the New York International Film Awards and Independent Shorts Awards.  Ordinary World was an Official Selection of the

    Bushwick Film Festival, Coney Island Film Festival, The LGBTQ+ Toronto Film Festival and other festivals worldwide.
